On a rainy night- Fandango’s flash fiction

Welcome to “Fandango’s Flash Fiction Challenge.” Each week he posts a photo off the internet and challenging bloggers to write a flash fiction piece or a poem inspired by the photo. There are no style or word limits.

The painting below is by artist Chin H. Shin.

Here’s my take on it…

It’s raining its pouring
and our minds are soaring
what a beautiful evening it is
where the three of us
walking with the rain splashing all over
the cars moving at their own speed….

Three friends met after a long time Lizette, suzette and annette.

They went to the nearby cafe and had some lovely croissants
filled with chocolate and a caffe mocha each, as they all
had this craving to eat something chocolatey, which reminded
them of their college days at this coffee house, which was near
their college…their local hangout.
So lizzie,susie and anne
(as they were known to their friends)
met at the all so famous cafe
and reminisced the past
and then it began to pour
even the rains had something to offer
they all enjoyed walking in the rain
where they could walk freely
without any stress or strain
enjoying the evening weather at its best
the three musketeers had an enjoyable fest
talking and walking and singing to glory
and now let us end this wonderful story
