Feast of Assumption of Mary

Today the Catholic Church celebrates the Feast of Assumption of our Heavenly Mother —Mary.

In the light of a long history of Christian belief since patriotic times, in 1950, Pope Pius XII defined Mary’s Assumption into Heaven as a dogma of Roman Catholicism: “the Immaculate Mother of God, the ever Virgin Mary, having completed the course of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul into heaven.”

Mother Mary you said yes
and put  God out of stress
to bring our Saviour into this world
and He died for our sins
so that we can all come out clean
As you go up to day
all we wanna say
is…dear Mother
always be by our side
and be our guide
